TradingFlow AI: Ask About a Page, Attach a Table, Schedule a Report

Open the TradingFlow AI sidebar, ask about the page you are on, attach a table or chart, understand credits, save standing instructions, link a messaging app, and schedule a recipe.

TradingFlow AI is an assistant docked on the left of the app, so the page beside it stays usable. It can explain a metric or a screen, look up read-only data, and answer with charts and tables. It needs a valid trial or paid plan, and every reply uses credits.

It can be wrong, and it does not give financial advice. Treat an answer as a starting point and check it against the data.

Ask your first question

  1. Open it. Click AI at the top right, or Ask AI on a Symbol Research page.
  2. Read the notice, the first time only. Before you use TradingFlow AI explains that your messages, and the page or market context needed to answer, go to model providers. Choose I understand and agree to continue.
  3. Ask something. Click a suggestion such as Top 10 symbols by total premium today, or type in the box marked Ask about this page, or build a recipe… and press Send.

You should see a short line for each lookup, then a written reply, and sometimes a chart or table inside it. Your credit balance shows at the top of the sidebar.

Before you rely on the answer, check which session and filters it used. If it cannot finish, it says what it found and what is missing.

Ask about exactly what is on screen

Click Pick element beside the message box, then click the table row, card or chart you mean. Your question now carries that element, so you can ask "why is this one flagged?" without describing it.

What to ask, and what it will not do

Good questionsWhat you get
"Where do I see open interest by strike?"A link to the right page
"What does Net DEI mean, and what are its limits?"A definition from the product's documentation
"Which symbols had the most put premium in the latest session?"A read-only lookup, answered with a table
"Chart SPY's net premium for the last 10 sessions."A chart inside the reply

It will not place trades, move money, or tell you what to buy. It also will not run a database query (SQL) you paste: describe what you want to know, and it writes its own read-only query. Charts it draws are not saved. A recipe is a report you can run again; to build one, see editing a recipe with AI.

How credits work

ItemCredits
A normal reply1
A reply with a chart or deep analysis2
A reply you stop before it finishes0
Welcome credits, once per account, no expiry100
Paid plan, each month, unused credits do not roll over500
TrialWelcome credits and any packs you buy; no monthly allowance

Credits are spent in this order: monthly allowance, welcome credits, then your oldest purchased pack. Web and messaging apps share one balance, and Billing shows your usage. Running out never creates an automatic charge, and credits left over do not keep AI working after a subscription ends.

Keep or clear a conversation

New chat starts fresh, and Chat history reopens an earlier conversation. Clear chat asks first, because clearing is permanent.

Save a standing instruction

A skill is an instruction applied to every later reply, such as "show premium in millions and always name the session."

  1. Click your avatar at the top right, choose Account Center, and find Skills.
  2. Choose New…, write the name and instruction or start from a preset, then choose Create active skill.
  3. Pause a skill to keep its text without applying it.

Skills change how replies are written. They cannot widen data access, enable tools or override the no-advice policy.

Use it from a messaging app

  1. In Account Center (your avatar at the top right), find Messaging apps, which lists the apps available to you.
  2. Choose Generate link code. The code expires after ten minutes.
  3. Send link <code> to the TradingFlow bot in that app. Discord uses its slash command instead.

Replies come from the same assistant and use the same credits. Those conversations stay in your account but do not appear in the web chat list. Send unlink to the bot, or disconnect in Account Center, to remove the link. Disconnecting does not delete them.

Get a report on a schedule

Scheduled deliveries send an official recipe to you once per U.S. trading day. They need an active subscription, and they use no AI credits.

  1. In Account Center (your avatar at the top right), find Scheduled deliveries and choose New….
  2. Pick a Recipe, a Time and Timezone, and who to Deliver to: a linked messaging app, your account Email, or both. Recipes that need parameters cannot be scheduled.
  3. Check the timing and recipients on the review step, then choose Create active schedule. Nothing is created before that.

You should see the schedule listed with Active, its next delivery, and the result of its latest run. Each delivery is a short, data-only digest with a disclaimer and a link to the full report, without AI commentary. Weekends and market holidays are skipped, and a missed day is not sent late. Use Pause or Resume to control it. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

You can also ask TradingFlow AI to set one up. It shows the same review before anything is created.
