Start with a question.
There’s a template for that.

Get a focused answer with a Basic recipe, or work through a broader question with an Advanced report. Each gives your research a starting structure.

Official templates stay intact.

Your edits remain unsaved until you save.

Recipe authoring has a limited rollout. If your account does not show Edit with AI or New recipe, you can still use the official library with paid access.

Bring the agent
you already work with.

Use an MCP-compatible agent such as Codex, Claude Code, or Cursor to work on your Recipe. Ask it to read the current version, propose a focused edit, and show you what will change.

“Update my Market Recap recipe. Add a symbol selector to Spotlight and keep every other chapter. Show me the proposal before saving.”

A few things
before you begin.

What exactly is a recipe?

A recipe is a reusable research report made of inputs, data queries, charts, tables, and explanation blocks. It resolves data when you run it for a selected market session. It is not a frozen dataset or an automated trading strategy.

Can I use every feature on this page?

Cookbooks requires paid access. Recipe authoring and MCP have separate account rollouts, so a paid account can have templates without editing controls. In-app AI also requires consent and AI credits. Check your account for availability.

Does AI Chat save my edits?

No. In the recipe workspace, AI edits update an unsaved preview. Review the changes, use Undo if needed, then choose Save or Save as… to keep a private recipe. AI Insight explains a report; Edit with AI opens the authoring workspace.

What does my external agent need?

A compatible MCP client, eligible TradingFlow access, and an API key with the opt-in recipe:write permission. Default API keys and Claude OAuth connections are read-only. Your agent uses its own plan or API budget for reasoning.

Who can see the recipe I save?

Your recipes are private and owner-only. Editing an official template creates or updates your private copy; it does not change the official version. There is no public or share-link publishing state for user recipes.
