Market Rank: Volume Leaders at a Glance
Market Rank surfaces symbols ranked by options flow premium for any trading date — with a symbol inspection drawer, numeric range filters, and CSV export for paid subscribers — so you can spot flow leaders and drill into per-symbol detail fast.
Market Rank in TradingFlow is the ranked market-level flow summary: it answers which symbols are leading by options volume today? You get a sortable volume ranking table, an inline symbol lookup, advanced filter controls, a per-symbol inspection drawer, and an optional AI summary panel — all from one screen.
What Market Rank shows
The app uses as-of-date data: pick a date and the table shows volume ranking for that day. Rankings and metrics are clearly labeled so you know exactly what you're looking at.
- Volume ranking table — Sortable columns: rank, symbol, type (ETF / Index / Stock), sentiment, total premium, call %, net put premium, DEX, DEI.
- Symbol lookup — Type a ticker in the toolbar to instantly open its inspection drawer.
- Filters — Date, type, sentiment, minimum premium, and numeric range filters let you narrow the universe.
- Symbol drawer — Click any row or look up a symbol to open a tabbed per-symbol inspection panel.
- AI summary panel — Generate or refresh an AI synthesis (takeaways, conclusion with stance and confidence, risks) from the current view. Optional; requires entitlement.
- Download CSV — Export the current table for offline use (subscription required).
Public data, premium controls
Market Rank is designed to be broadly accessible:
- All tiers see the full ranked dataset — Whether you're a guest, signed-in free user, or subscriber, you see the same ranked universe. No row masking or blurred data for guests.
- Filters, numeric ranges, date picker, and CSV export require a subscription — Advanced controls (filtering by premium threshold, sentiment, type, and numeric ranges) and the CSV download are premium features. Free and guest users see the default public view.
This means you can always get a quick read on which names are leading the market — a subscription unlocks the workflow controls to dive deeper.
Filters and table
Quick filters (premium)
- Date — Pick any past trading date available in the system (defaults to latest).
- Type — Filter by instrument type: ETF, Index, or Stock.
- Sentiment — Filter by flow sentiment: All, Bullish, or Bearish.
- Min premium — Set a minimum premium threshold to focus on meaningful size:
All → $250K → $1M → $5M → $10M → $25M → $50M → $100M
Numeric range filters (premium)
Open the Filters popover to set min/max bounds on any of these columns:
- Total Call Premium
- Total Put Premium
- Net Put Premium
- Total Premium
- Net DEX (Delta Exposure)
- Net DEI (Delta Impact)
Active filters appear as an inline chip summary below the toolbar so you always know what's applied.
The table is sortable by any column. Use the header controls to reorder and find leaders by total premium, call %, net put, or flow metrics like DEX/DEI.
Symbol drawer
Clicking any table row (or entering a ticker in the toolbar lookup) opens the Market Rank Symbol Drawer. It shows per-symbol flow breakdown and deeper analysis for the selected date — matching the same date and filters currently applied to the table. Use the drawer to dig into a specific name without losing your place in the ranking table.
AI summary (optional)
When the AI summary feature is enabled, trigger Generate Summary or Refresh Summary to get a synthesized panel with:
- Takeaways from the current ranked view
- A conclusion (bullish / neutral / bearish with confidence level)
- Identified risks
The summary is built from the current filters and top rows — change filters and refresh to get a new synthesis.
Where to find it
In TradingFlow, open Market Rank in the nav or go directly to /app/market-rank. Use the filters to narrow by date and type, then sort the table to find volume leaders. Combine with OI Change Rank to see whether top flow names also show significant open-interest shifts, and use the GEX Screener for gamma context on the same names.
